  • Rani Laxmibai Mahila Mahavidyalya Sawargaon was established on 1992 by the imminent educationist and former MLA of Katol, Honorable Shri. Sunilbabu Shamraoji Shinde who was determined to create awakening among the masses of Sawargaon and its circle regarding the importance of women education. Way back in 1990, there was no intuition in an around Sawargaon which imparted higher education exclusively to women. This institution proved to be a boon in women education and become a pioneer institution. This small sapling planted with great dedication and devotion grew rapidly and accepted the challenges of developing to reach its goal in the history in Sawargaon. This is an institution imparting real and quality education to girls who are emerging with their own identity in this challenging world.

    Honorable Shri. Sunilbabu Shamraoji Shinde, former MLA of Katol, is a successful Politician, women education promoter and protector of rights of formers. His views and his characteris an inspiration for the young generation of this area.
  • ESTABLISHMENT
    A hamlet Sawargaon fluttered with its flying wing’s in the field of women education with the pioneering hands of our founder former MLA Shri. Sunilbabu Shamraoji Shinde. He established Shinde Education Society in 1990, an endeavour to provide higher education for girls. In 1992 Rani Laxmibai Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sawargaon was established to promote Under Graduate Degree in rural area.

  • IDEALS AND OBJECTIVES
    1. To provide higher education to girls students of rural area and overall development of students like educational, cultural, and physical.
    2. To arrange camps, lectures, discussion, debate competitions, gatherings for creating social consciousness among the people arranging, dance, dramas, arts and different culturalprogrammes.
    3. To apply different government schemes like Adult education scheme, community development scheme, and running undertaking educational activities for girls.
    4. To help poor and intelligent students, make efforts for social development and to help the victims of natural calamities.
  • AFFILIATION
    Rani Laxmibai Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sawargaon is affiliated with Rashtrasanth Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University Nagpur since its establishment. Taking into account and its Endeavour working in rural area, Rashtrasanth Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University issued permanent affiliation in year 2010. Rani Laxmibai Mahila Mahavidyalaya Sawargaon has been enrolled with University Grant Commission Under UGC Act 1956 section 2(F) and Section 12(B). This institution is eligible for all the grants receiving from UGC, Central Government And State Government.

  • 1 ) National Social Service(NSS)
    The college having troop of National Social Service which help students to enriching their awareness for social work and responsibility. The college conducts social service camp every year for social awareness through various programs to enhance and develop personality of the students. Student should visit NSS program Officer for their participation till July 15.
  • 2) National Cadet Core (NCC)
    The College provides A,B and C Certificate of NCC During Academic Year. It is affiliated with 3H Maharashtra Battalion (Girls). The students of the college have appeared in RD parade.
  • 3) Physical Education
    The college has full – fledged games and sports department, which arranges various games and sports from time to time. All the facilitieslike well-equippedgymnasia, equipment of sports, a good playground is available for students. Many students have brought the gloryto the name of the college in national and state level competition such as cross-country, volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho.
